Greg serves as the Connections Pastor at Calvary Church. He grew up in Atlanta, GA. Greg is married to Marlene, from Nashville, Tennessee, whom he met while a student at Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville. They were married in 1987 and have three children, Corey, Hope and Kip, and four dogs, which provide quite a bit of entertainment for their family!
Greg accepted Christ at the age of thirteen and has sought to follow God’s leading since that time. He has served in three different churches as youth pastor – Ft. Myers, FL, Atlanta, GA and has been at Calvary Church since 1997, where he served as the youth pastor for thirteen years until his recent transition to Connections Pastor. He now serves Calvary Church by helping connect people to the church and the church to the community. Greg has also served in several different leadership roles in the Southeast Region NYI (Nazarene Youth International).
Greg enjoys just about anything that involves the outdoors. Riding bicycles, both mountain and road bikes, is one of his favorite pastimes. Backpacking, snow skiing, disc golf and ultimate frisbee are other activities Greg loves. He also has a passion for graphic design and video creation and editing. Greg has had the opportunity to be a part of over twenty mission trips, which has included traveling to several countries in Europe, South America and the Caribbean.
Greg loves to eat! Some of his favorite restaurants are: The Varsity (Atlanta, GA), the Dillard House (Dillard, GA – you should go there sometime!), Lambert’s Café (Sikeston, MO), Bryant’s Breakfast (Memphis, TN), and Giordano’s Pizza (Chicago, IL). The list could go a lot longer!
