Small Groups

God designed us for relationships with one another where we will find encouragement and prayer support in our spiritual journey - and don't we need it these days?!
At Calvary Church, we believe this design is best lived out through the Small Group experience where relationships can be established and nurtured.

SUNDAY SMALL GROUPS - 9:00 AM

Adult Small Groups

AGAPE CLASS (Room 108)
Leaders: Susan Ainsworth and Susan Gray
Study: Named: The Unnamed
Focus: We may feel marginalized, rejected, treated as other. But God sees us...knows us...names us. Through the stories, insights, and questions of The Unnamed, discover not only how God gave these biblical outcasts identity, but now He gives us identity as well.
BIBLE SEEKERS CLASS (Room 303)
Leaders: Brian Teepe
Study: An Emmaus Roadtrip thru Hebrews
Focus: On Resurrection Day, two disciples who had walked with Jesus began their day wondering what would happen next. The wonderful man they loved, and upon Who’s every word they hung, was dead and buried in a borrowed tomb. The Sadducees, the Pharisees, and the Romans had brought their world crashing down around them. Now they were scattered and returning home. Jesus had been the center of everything. There was no residual organization to fall back on; there were only teachings and promises that were often confusing when contemplated through eyes and hearts steeped in the Law of Moses and contemporary Jewish religion.
What next?
THE BEREAN CLASS (Room 103)
Leaders:  Becky Bates, Deborah Sykes
Study: 1 & 2 Samuel by Max Lucado
Focus:  In 1 Samuel, this study highlights how God looks for genuine obedience over superficial sacrifice, how He still speaks and acts in everyday history, and how an unlikely shepherd boy named David was chosen to rise above overwhelming obstacles.
In 2 Samuel, Lucado unpacks how God provides steadfast direction at life's critical intersections, warns against the destructive consequences of pride, and magnifies God's relentless capacity for forgiving and restoring flawed believers.
ACTS 29 CLASS (Room 304)
Leaders: Lisa & Ronnie Hopper, Jennifer & Ron Swanner
Study: The Bible Recap by Tara-Leigh Cobble
Focus: Join us as we explore what God has for us this year through The Bible Recap (TBR). TBR follows a chronological Bible reading plan and is a short daily recap by creator and host, Tara-Leigh Cobble. She’ll highlight and summarize scripture in a casual, easy- to-understand way.
The Bible Recap and the Study Guide are available at Hobby Lobby or Amazon, and on the YouVersion Bible App at no cost.
Anyone can join at anytime. We will continue throughout the year with this study.
YOUNG ADULT CLASS (Room 104)
Leader: Cindy Hodge
Study: Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table by Louie Giglio
